- Does a multi purchase carry a lot less risk premium than a fixed term supply contract? – All of the prices come with elements of risk factored in ( Credit, Finance, Volumetric etc ) which can vary dependent on the customer or offering and impact the cost stack. For example, if you choose to pass through Third Party Costs, less premiums are built in as you’ll be reconciled/billed against the published rates. The commodity element is what’s not included in the MP offering and purchased later on but from a risk perspective, this is factored in at the start with the framework.
- What is the minimum size for multi purchase? – 1-2gwh is the standard however we can look at going as low as 0.5gwh on a bespoke basis, if it makes commercial sense to do so ( i.e not a multisite, numerous tranches etc ).
- Can the client buy out the rest of the contract if the market does dip considerably or if it looks like the market is going to rise further? Yes they can. One of the main benefits of the product is the ability to purchase in and out of sequence.
- As the tranches have to be of equal volume, will Npower be stricter on Volume Tolerance? Volume Tolerance can be removed at no additional cost to alleviate any concerns.
- Will there be the single point of contact for Multi-Purchase contracts? In terms of pricing your dedicated account manager will work with you to decide the best time to buy along with a dedicated support team to help with energy purchasing
